Dr. Jonathan Semmler

Dr. Semmler's areas of interests include dry eye disease, contact lenses, and myopia management.

Dr. Semmler earned his doctorate of optometry with cum laude honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2026. During his time at Southern College of Optometry, he served as the Arkansas club president. He is happy to return to Vision Source Eyecare, where he completed an internship with many of the doctors in the practice. He completed his second internship at The Eye Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas where he comanaged cataract surgery and advanced eye disease. He is currently a member of the Missouri Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Semmler earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and a B.A. in Philosophy from Newman University in Wichita, KS. Before optometry school, he spent four years in the seminary for the Diocese of Little Rock, AR where he learned Spanish. He has provided eye exams in Spanish during his internships and on a mission trip to Costa Rica, where he provided eyecare with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists organization.

During his free time, Jonathan loves mountain biking, traveling to visit friends and family, spending time at the lake with friends and family, and being involved at his church, Our Lady of Good Counsel.
