A residency trained optometrist, Dr. Remington completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa before moving to Boston, Massachusetts, to complete her Doctor of Optometry at The New England College of Optometry (NECO) graduating with honors.
She then completed a cornea and contact lens residency rotating through the New England Eye Institute, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, BostonSight and TLC Laser Eye Center. Upon finishing training, Dr. Remington joined BostonSight in 2013 where she provided highly advanced contact lens services for complex patients. This included prosthetic replacement of the ocular surface ecosystem (PROSE) treatment for patients with severe ocular surface disease and corneal irregularities. During this time she continued as adjunct faculty at NECO teaching contact lens laboratories and training student optometrists.
Dr. Remington relocated to Kansas City, MO and practiced at Tauber Eye Center in 2017 continuing scleral lens fitting, advanced dry eye evaluation and treatment, post-operative care, and works as a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials. She is an active member and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and continues with education through various posters, lectures and workshops. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 cats and gardening.
